MEET OUR FOUNDER
Yudi Kaufman is a multifaceted business strategist, entrepreneur, and creative, who brings years of experience navigating the luxury design industry from the inside out. He has a background in interior design, furniture design, e-commerce, business management, human resources, accounting, marketing, and public speaking. Yudi holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Interior Environments from New York’s FIT – Fashion Institute of Technology.
Having spent nearly a decade leading the expansion of renowned interior designer Robin Baron’s design firm into the exceptional brand it is today, Yudi is now offering his expertise through his firm, specializing in the design and home furnishings industry. YKD Associates is the culmination of Yudi’s business background combined with his passion, knowledge, and expertise in the interior design industry. A true left and right brainer!

Before stepping into interior design, Yudi spent years studying and working in business management and accounting. He knows how to balance the creative with the practical, making him a real pro at what he does. With his diverse background in business and design, Yudi has the perfect mix to help others thrive in this creative industry.
Yudi frequently travels throughout the country to attend and speak at design-trade furniture markets. His combined business+design background and his clear communication style enable him to have a profound impact on shaping exceptional brands. Yudi remains actively on-the-pulse of the design industry, and shares his experience and insight in a monthly column about business development in Design News Now.

The interior design and home furnishings industry as a whole consumes an enormous amount of energy and natural resources. With a Master’s degree in Sustainable Interior Environments from the Fashion Institute of Technology, our founder is deeply committed to keeping sustainability in focus and has spread this ethos throughout YKD Associates. We are proud to be a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council and look forward to helping others take steps to improve their impact on the global environment.
